Why is exercise important for CKD patients?

Staying inactive elevates risk of developing long term health problems like heart problems, stroke, diabetes, dementia, cancer, depression.

Exercise helps prevent health problems. Research shows that proper exercise is helpful for kidney patients. It will help you feel healthier, stronger and better.  Talk to your doctor before starting exercise.

Having kidney disease has risk of developing heart disease. Regular exercise really helps to defend your heart. It keeps you in good shape by lowering blood pressure, controlling cholesterol and preventing diabetes.

People feel weaker and more tired than before, and their muscles contract and become useless. It can get worse if your kidneys don't work properly because of excess toxins in the blood. So it’s important to exercise.

 

Exercise is direct or indirect way to combat many problems which arise in CKD patients.
