Alcohol a “Double-Edged Sword” for kidneys.

Kidneys are tough at work every day in a healthy person but the kidneys of heavy alcohol drinkers work overtime. An increase in brewing technology has amplified its consumptions. There is an increase in its consumers as well as an increment in the victims of its consequence. Kidney diseases are one of the most common consequences.

Kidney purifies blood flowing into the body, removes waste and excessive water. Alcohol is such waste. Alcoholism is an undeniable factor in the development of kidney diseases especially because people who drink so much often have an unhealthy lifestyle. Alcohol also influences the knack to regulate fluid and electrolytes in the body. When alcohol dehydrates the body, the drying effect can affect the normal function of cells and organs which include the kidneys. Also, alcohol can disrupt hormones that impinge on kidney function. Anything in too much quantity is bad; hence too much alcohol increases blood pressure. And high blood pressure suffocates the kidney resulting in diseases.

It’s better to goodbye to alcohol otherwise this double-aged sword will injure you abruptly. So make a protocol and say no to alcohol.
